Modern philosophy has performed a radical turn. It no longer sees man as a part of nature, but rather as a product of himself. Man is the artificer of himself, the causa sue. This is the thesis of Nietzsche, Hegel, Sartre, Heidegger, and the majority of the moderns. This is a "historical" concept of man, based on the primacy of the will and freedom over knowledge, praxis over theory, existence over essence, history over nature. On the moral plane there exists no imperative other than to translate his own possibilities (his own potency!) into act. There is, however, a middle road between these two opposite views: to consider man as neither a natural being nor a simply historical being, but rather a cultural being. This means that not all of man is a product of nature, nor a product of history, but partly of nature and partly of history, and that this fusion between Nikki Benz Movies history and nature is called culture. The whole of man is not the work of culture. Much of what exists in him comes from nature. His entire somatic and biological dimension is directly produced by natural forces. That small human being which comes to light after nine months of gestation in the womb of the mother is the fruit of genetic laws that nature has inscribed in the bodies of the parents. The Nikki Benz Movies organisms and faculties of which are nourished the baby and the adult proceed from nature. Also, a great number of somatic and psychic activities which we perform depend on the laws of nature.
